Falcons coach Mike Smith said Monday safety Thomas DeCoud will be a non-contact participant in practice Wednesday after sitting out Week 15 due to a concussion. Smith is expecting DeCoud to play Week 16 at San Francisco.
Falcons tight end Tony Gonzalez (toe) was limited in practice yet again Friday, as the team continues to prepare for Week 16 against the 49ers. Gonzalez has played through the injury in recent weeks, and his status for Monday's game will be determined after Saturday's practice.
Falcons defensive back Zeke Motta, who was listed as questionable on Friday's injury report, is active for Week 15 against the Redskins. He was limited in practice leading up to the game with a hand injury.
In addition to defensive back Thomas DeCoud, who was ruled out earlier in the week with a concussion, the Falcons' list of inactives for Week 15 against the Redskins includes running back Antone Smith (knee), linebacker Omar Gaither, offensive lineman Terren Jones, offensive lineman Sean Locklear, tight end Chase Coffman and defensive lineman Travian Robertson. Gaither, Jones, Locklear, Coffman and Robertson are all healthy scratches.
