Jenkins (ankle) is inactive Sunday against the Cowboys.
Bad news for the Dolphins here as both Jenkins and his backup, Spencer Paysinger (neck) are inactive at weak-side linebacker. Chris McCain is likely to see the bulk of the action with both linebackers inactive. This should be great news for the Cowboys rushing attack.
Browns coach Mike Pettine said the team plans to have cornerback Ifo Ekpre-Olomu, their seventh-round pick, sit out the 2015 season as the player recovers from a serious knee injury he suffered at the end of his college career, per Cleveland.com.
Gabriel (concussion) did not participate in Wednesday's practice, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
Gabriel sat alongside fellow wideout Andrew Hawkins, who is also dealing with a concussion. The presumed absence of Hawkins, who is dealing with his second concussion of the season, could have been a big opportunity for Gabriel, but it now appears Brian Hartline could be the main beneficiary. The health of this position group is surely worth monitoring following Cleveland's Week 11 bye.
Haden (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game.
The Florida alum didn't practice all week after suffering his second concussion of the season against the Cardinals in Week 8, so it's not surprising to see him ruled out. In his place, Pierre Desir or Justin Gilbert will likely get the start at corner opposite of Tramon Williams.
Hawkins (concussion) did not practice Wednesday, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
Hawkins was forced to exit Sunday's contest with a concussion, and considering that this was his first game back since dealing with a prior concussion, the slot receiver is likely to be dealing with a multi-week absence. As such, it's no surprise to see him take a day off from practice as he works through the league's concussion protocol. Fortunately for Hawkins, the Browns have a Week 11 bye before returning to face the division-rival Baltimore Ravens.
McCown (ribs) will start Monday's game against the Ravens, with Johnny Manziel demoted to third on the depth chart, NFL Network's James Palmer reports.
Manziel is getting demoted because he was photographed at a bar in Austin, TX during the Browns' bye week. It's not entirely clear that the demotion will last all season, but at the very least, McCown makes for a nice streaming option against a Baltimore defense that he picked apart for 457 passing yards back in Week 5. There should be further updates regarding Cleveland's quarterback situation in the coming days.
Whitner (concussion) returned to the practice field on Wednesday, Nate Ulrich of Ohio.com reports.
Whitner has missed the last two games due to a concussion he suffered in a Week 8 loss to the Cardinals. His status for Sunday is still unknown, but returning to practice is a good sign for Browns' fans. An official decision on his status for Sunday should be made on Friday.
