Packers cornerback Casey Hayward, limited to three games last year with hamstring problems, said he'll be ready for the offseason program starting in two weeks, reports the Green Bay Press-Gazette. Hayward led the team with six interceptions as a rookie in 2012.
Depleted by injuries, the Packers DST held up well for the most part against the 49ers in Sunday's playoff loss. But the unit could not contain quarterback Colin Kaepernick's running, dooming Green Bay.
Packers outside linebacker Clay Matthews has played a full season just once, as a rookie in 2009. After missing seven games last year with a fractured thumb and half of another game with a hamstring injury, Matthews is under the gun in 2014.
