Dolphins tight end Dion Sims has been ruled out for the Sunday clash in London, reports Andrew Abramson of the Palm Beach Post.
Sims hasn't played since sustaining a concussion in Week 1. And considering he didn't make the flight to England, it's clear he won't play against the Jets. Jake Stoneburner (three catches for 31 yards and a touchdown in two games) will once again fill in behind Jordan Cameron.
Listed as questionable, Allen will miss a third straight game, which ensures that Antwon Blake will start across from William Gay at cornerback. Although he's still listed atop the depth chart, Allen won't necessarily have a starting job once he's healthy.
Roethlisberger has a timetable of 4-6 weeks, which is typical for a sprained MCL. The concern is that he's also dealing with a nasty bone bruise that might actually take longer to heal than the sprain. However, recovery from the bone bruise is largely about pain management, and Roethlisberger's on-field toughness is beyond reproach.
