11/16/15WRDeAndre SmelterUndisclosedNFISmelter (knee) was never activated during his rookie season.

The 49ers expected this when they drafted the injured wideout this past offseason. He did return to practice late in the season, but with the team out of contention, there was no point in rushing their fourth round pick back into action too soon. Because of his ACL injury, Smelter came at a discount, and if he can rehab fully this offseason, he will immediately enter the "sleeper" ranks with a lackluster group of wideouts ahead of him on the depth chart.
