The Giants' next opponent Week 15 will be the Seahawks, who are one of the best teams in the NFL and have one of the best defenses. Though, Fantasy owners shouldn't immediately consider benching Brown.
It's true running backs are averaging just 13.3 Fantasy points per week, which is the seventh-lowest average, and have totaled just five touchdowns (four rushing) in 13 games against Seattle. However, running backs have been able to move the football against Seattle lately.
In the last six games, running backs are averaging 118.2 rushing yards and 38.7 receiving yards per game. Running backs haven't scored a touchdown in the last six games against Seattle, which is disappointing, but the yards have been there.
Fantasy owners should consider Brown a viable No. 2 Fantasy running back Week 15.
Brown got off to a fast start with four carries for 26 yards on the ground. He broke for a 19-yard run in the third quarter and remained productive all game until the final period. With the game well out of reach, the Giants relied more on the aerial attack, leaving Brown with only two carries in the fourth quarter. He finished the game with 96 yards of total offense, logging 81 yards on 16 carries (5.1 yards per carry) and 15 yards on three receptions in a 37-14 defeat.
Brown has not cracked the century mark since Week 12 against the Cowboys. He'll have his hands full against a stingy Seattle defense at home in Week 15.
In Week 14, Brown gets to face off against a Chargers defense that has allowed eight rushing touchdowns over their last five games. The opposition's stable of opposing backs have racked up an average of 22.8 Fantasy points per game against the Chargers in the last five, and three backs in that span have run for 90-plus yards.
Brown's worst rushing game (35 yards in Week 13 against Washington) was balanced by two touchdowns, and his only other game with fewer than 100 rushing yards (66 yards in Week 11 against Green Bay) was still complemented by 27 receiving yards, pushing him over 90 total.
Brown should continue his top-level Fantasy output in Week 14, and can be started in most Fantasy formats.
Brown ripped off a 23-yard touchdown in the second quarter. Early in the fourth, he lunged across the goal line on second effort for a 1-yard score. Brown caught three of the five passes thrown his way for 23 yards.
Brown visits San Diego in Week 14.
Brown has played three games since coming back from a broken leg in the preseason, and he has at least eight Fantasy points in all three outings, including two games with at least 15 points. Brown faced the Redskins in 2012, and he had eight Fantasy points with a touchdown.
Washington has allowed nine running backs to score double digits in Fantasy points this season with 14 touchdowns. Brown should add to that total, and we consider him a must-start Fantasy option this week.
It will only help Brown's cause that Brandon Jacobs (knee) was ruled out for this game.
