DALLAS -- Trevor Daley and Eric Lindros scored in a 60-second span in the first period and Marty Turco stopped all 11 shots he faced in two periods in the Dallas Stars' 3-1 preseason victory over the Phoenix Coyotes on Friday night.
Janne Niinimaa also scored for the Stars (2-2), who killed nine Phoenix power-play chances in the first two periods.
Daley gave Dallas the lead at 5:04 of the first period, and Lindros made it 2-0 at 6:04, only 11 seconds after the Stars started a two-man power play. Lindros took a pass from Sergei Zubov and beat David LeNeveu from the left point.
Niinimaa added a power-play goal early in the second.
Stars rookie Tobias Stephan made nine saves in the third period, allowing only Yanick Lehoux's goal with 5:57 left.
LeNeveu and Mike Morrison combined to stop 14 shots for the Coyotes (1-3).
