Derek Parish: Joins Jags' practice squad
After failing to make the Jaguars' 53-man roster, Parish landed on their practice squad Wednesday.
Parish was selected 240th overall by Jacksonville in the seventh round of the NFL Draft this past offseason. The team ultimately opted not to carry a fullback on their 53-man roster, but Parish will now be available to be called up should a week come where the game plan would require his skillset.

Jaguars' Derek Parish: Duval bound
The Jaguars selected Parish in the seventh round of the NFL Draft, 240th overall.
It's unclear if the Jaguars view Parish as an edge rusher, the position he played all throughout college at Houston, or as a fullback, where he transitioned to ahead of the East-West Shrine Bowl. Parish is a raw prospect regardless and will likely need to cut his teeth on special teams to make the roster.
