The Angels acquired Rivero, Arjun Nimmala and Eddie Micheletti from the Blue Jays on Monday in exchange for Jose Soriano.
Rivero has showed promise in the rookie-level Florida Complex League this season, logging a 2.36 ERA and 52:23 K:BB over 42 innings. The 19-year-old right-hander is a lottery ticket acquisition for the Angels.
