Bermudez was added to the 40-man roster to prevent him from being poached by another team during the Rule 5 draft. The 26-year-old pitched well between Double-A and Triple-A in 2021 with a 3.24 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 146:34 K:BB over 111 innings.
