Papierski was added to the Astros' 60-man player pool Sunday.
Papierski is one of six catchers occupying a spot in the pool, three of whom are not on the 40-man roster. He was drafted by the Astros in the ninth round of the 2017 draft out of LSU and has made a steady ascension up the ranks. Most recently, Papierski batted .233/.351/.324 with seven home runs, 11 doubles, one triple and 38 RBI over 108 games at High-A Fayetteville in 2019.
