The Athletics selected Dudan (elbow) with the No. 83 overall pick in the 2026 First-Year Player Draft.
Dudan served as a high-leverage reliever during his first two years at NC State before transitioning to the rotation this season. He went on to throw 116 pitches in an ill-fated start in April, which led to Tommy John surgery. He won't make his professional debut until 2027.
