Braves' A.J. Pierzynski: Records 2,000th career hit

Pierzynski went 1-for-3 with an RBI to record his 2,000th career hit Wednesday against the Red Sox.

The 39-year-old is the 10th catcher in baseball history to reach the 2,000 hit plateau. Over 1,000 of those hits came with the White Sox, but he has at least 100 hits with four other teams as well. Pierzynski is slashing .220/.291/.240 in 50 at-bats this season.
