Brewers' Alex Hall: Contract selected by Brewers

Hall had his contract selected by Milwaukee on Thursday.

Hall received the unexpected promotion from Single-A Wisconsin and will serve as the backup catcher against the Padres after Omar Narvaez was placed on the COVID-19 injured list. Hall's stay in the majors will almost assuredly be short-lived, as the team needed an emergency backstop on short notice. Alex Jackson or Mario Feliciano will likely take Hall's roster spot Friday.
