Jeffress (hamstring) will throw one more live batting practice session and will then be slotted into game action, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's Tom Haudricourt reports.
His live batting practice session went well Saturday, and now it sounds like Jeffress could get into a game in the next week. This will give him enough time to get ready for the start of the season, although he may face an uphill battle with Will Smith to open the year as the team's closer.
