Cubs' Kyle Ryan: Sent back down

Ryan was optioned to the Cubs' alternate training site Saturday, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.

Ryan was called up by the Cubs on Friday and allowed one hit and one walk while striking out one in two scoreless relief innings in the series opener against the Brewers. However, he'll return to the team's alternate camp after Adbert Alzolay was recalled by the Cubs ahead of his scheduled start Saturday.
