The Diamondbacks selected Dowd with the No. 88 overall pick in the 2026 First-Year Player Draft.
Dowd spent two seasons at USC before jumping to Florida State for his junior season. A lefty-hitting outfielder, Dowd is an excellent contact hitter who has no trouble catching up to velocity. He walked 21.2 percent of the time while striking out at a 14.1 percent clip this spring. Dowd has a chance to stick in center field but is just an average runner.
