Jarvis signed a contract with the Diamondbacks, Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic reports.
Jarvis, Arizona's first-round pick (18th overall) in 2020, passed his physical and signed a deal that includes a $2.65 million signing bonus. The 22-year-old right-hander, who is the son of former MLB hurler Kevin Jarvis, showed up for his junior year at Duke with an improved arsenal and blew away opponents in the pandemic-shortened 2020 collegiate season. Like many 2020 draftees, it's uncertain where and how he'll get his development work.
