The Diamondbacks selected Kerce with the No. 53 overall pick in the 2026 First-Year Player Draft.
A shortstop from Georgia Tech, Kerce slashed .384/.473/.679 with 11 home runs and a 13.3 percent strikeout rate in 61 games as a junior. He's a bat-to-ball hitter who probably won't hit for notable over-the-fence power, but he does a lot of things well and could carve out a role in the majors.
