Beachy has been diagnosed with mild tendinitis in his right arm, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
Entering Friday's start, Beachy had conceded no runs across five innings in two spring appearances, but the tables quickly turned. In addition to a 40-pitch second inning, he was removed in the third when he was unable to set down any of the first three batters. Because he has a pair of Tommy John surgeries on the medical chart, the Dodgers will take it easy with the non-roster invitee with the hope he'll reenter the competition for the final spot in the rotation.
