Ko signed with the Dodgers for $650,000 on June 4 and played nine games in the Dominican Summer League, hitting .241 with a .450 on-base percentage, one home run and more walks (11) than strikeouts (seven).
An 18-year-old, lefty-hitting center fielder who is already listed at 6-foot-3, 215 pounds, Ko has louder tools than his six-figure signing bonus may indicate. He went 11-for-20 playing for Taiwan in the 2023 under-18 World Cup, which is when the Dodgers became interested in signing him. As he fills out his frame, Ko may end up moving to right field. He signed after the season started, so he will not be eligible to be picked up in some dynasty leagues.
