Batista was traded from the Brewers to the Marlins in exchange for Payton Henry on Thursday.
Batista played rookie ball in 2022 and hit .252 with a homer, 31 runs, 13 RBI and 18 stolen bases over 46 games. He'll likely wind up in the lower levels of the minors once again in 2023.
