The Mets selected Sdao with the No. 120 overall pick in the 2026 First-Year Player Draft.
After missing the entire 2025 season for Texas A&M due to Tommy John surgery, Sdao struggled to a 7.03 ERA and 1.65 WHIP across 17 appearances (13 starts) in 2026. He still missed plenty of bats with 83 strikeouts, but he was unable to rediscover his stuff and command in his first season back from surgery.
