Mets' Tyler Jay: Contract selected

The Mets selected Jay's contract from Triple-A Syracuse on Sunday.

The left-hander was called up for his MLB debut in April but was removed from the 40-man roster after making just two appearances. Jay has a 2.00 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 23:4 K:BB over 36 innings at Triple-A this season and will now receive another look in the majors.
