Padres' David Peralta: Beginning game on bench Wednesday

Peralta is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Pirates.

With lefty Marco Gonzales starting for the Pirates, Peralta will hit the bench for a second straight day, but he'll be a candidate to enter the contest if Pittsburgh turns to a right-handed pitcher out of its bullpen at some point in the game. Platoon mate Bryce Johnson will pick up another start in right field in place of Peralta.
