Rays' Ty Johnson: Sent to Tampa Bay

The Rays acquired Johnson, right-hander Hunter Bigge and infielder Christopher Morel from the Cubs on Sunday in exchange for infielder Isaac Paredes, Sahadev Sharma of The Athletic reports.

Johnson was a 15th-round pick out of Ball State in the 2023 First-Year Player Draft and has seen his first action in professional baseball in 2024. He's split his time between the Single-A and High-A levels and has a 3.54 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 81:22 K:BB across 61 innings.
