Tyler Jay: Parts ways with Cincy

The Reds released Jay on Monday, J.J. Cooper of Baseball America reports.

A 2015 first-round pick, Jay is now on the outs with his second organization after Cincinnati acquired him from the Twins last June. After coming over via trade, Jay reported to Double-A Chattanooga and didn't distinguish himself in any major way, posting a 3.03 ERA, 1.43 ERA and 33:12 K:BB in 32.2 innings out of the bullpen.
