The Pirates optioned Sanders to Triple-A Indianapolis on Sunday, Colin Beazley of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
The right-hander was called up from Triple-A on Friday and made his season debut Saturday against the Rays, but he'll head back to the minors after surrendering to four runs over two-thirds of an inning. Wilber Dotel will take Sanders' place in Pittsburgh's bullpen.

The Pirates recalled Sanders from Triple-A Indianapolis on Friday, Colin Beazley of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
It's unclear at this time what the corresponding roster move will be. Sanders has yielded two runs with an 11:7 K:BB over six frames with Indianapolis. The 29-year-old got a cup of coffee with the Pirates last season, allowing six runs with a 4:5 K:BB in 6.2 innings.

Sanders was up with the Pirates for just three days following his call-up from Indianapolis and made his lone appearance Monday, when he gave up a run in 1.2 innings out of the bullpen in Pittsburgh's 4-0 loss to the Cubs. He'll give up his spot on the 28-man active roster to right-hander Yohan Ramirez (personal), who was reinstated from the paternity list.

Sanders had his contract selected Aug. 5 and appeared in five games with the Pirates before Friday's move. The 28-year-old reliever didn't allow a run in four of his five outings, but he yielded five runs in one-third of an inning against the Reds in his other appearance. Evan Sisk and Colin Holderman will join the big-league bullpen as part of Friday's slew of roster moves.
