Robinson poured in 15 points (5-15 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 4-6 FT) and added one assist, one steal and one block across 26 minutes during the Clippers' 87-75 loss to the Grizzlies in a Las Vegas Summer League game Sunday. Robinson scuffled with his shot for the second time in as many summer league games, and he's draining just 35.0 percent of his attempts thus far in Vegas. The 2018 first-round pick is looking to further all aspects of his game in the desert after averaging just 9.7 minutes over 33 games during his rookie season. The 22-year-old guard figures to head into training camp facing an uphill battle for playing time once again, given the well-rounded backcourt depth chart the Clippers currently boast.
Robinson recorded nine points (3-5 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), two rebounds, one assist, one steal, and one block in 22 minutes during Thursday's 128-118 loss to the Bucks. Robinson finished with a career high scoring total while contributing in every statistical category. The absences of Lou Williams (rest) and Patrick Beverley (hip) cleared the way for Robinson to earn ample minutes, but the rookie isn't normally part of the rotation. With the Clippers already locking up a spot in the playoffs, it shouldn't be that surprising if Robinson receives decent playing time in some of the last six regular season games. Nevertheless, those considering him in daily leagues in advance of Saturday's matchup with the lowly Cavaliers will likely want to check the injury report before committing.
Robinson was assigned to the Ontario Agua Caliente Clippers of the G League on Tuesday, Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints.com reports. Robinson has been a limited member of Los Angeles' rotation over the last month or so but had failed to leave the bench in any of the past two games. He'll suit up for the G League squad in their matchup Tuesday with the Austin Spurs and is expected to remain with Ontario Agua Caliente for the duration of the parent club's two-game road trip.
Robinson has been assigned to the G League. Robinson hasn't appeared in an NBA game since mid-November, so this move doesn't affect LA's rotation. In the G League, he's averaging 20.1 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 31.0 minutes. He's also shooting 50.0 percent from deep on 6.3 attempts per tilt.
Robinson (foot) has been called up from the G League, Andrew Greif of the Los Angeles Times reports. Robinson had been in the G League while recovering from a foot injury, but he's been deemed healthy and will join the parent club Wednesday. He hasn't seen NBA action since Nov. 17. On the season, he's totaled 23 points, three rebounds and one assist in 40 minutes.
