Wilcox was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Thursday. Wilcox spent the minimum 10 days on the list. He should be ready to go for Sunday's game against the Steelers.
Wilcox (undisclosed) was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Monday. It's unclear whether or not Wilcox tested positive for the virus, but he'll need to clear the health and safety protocols regardless. C.J. Uzomah and Drew Sample are the remaining tight ends on Cincinnati's active roster.
Wilcox was signed to the Bengals' active roster Friday. Wilcox, who scored at least two touchdowns in all four of his collegiate seasons at South Florida, will provide depth at tight end behind Drew Sample in Week 17 against the Ravens.
Wilcox signed with the Bengals as an undrafted free agent, per the NFL's official transaction log. Wilcox wasn't selected over the course of the 2020 NFL Draft after recording 28 catches for 350 yards and five touchdowns in his senior year at South Florida. The 23-year-old figures to be competing for a depth spot at tight end during training camp.
