The Angels recalled pitcher Cory Rasmus Monday, optioning infielder Luis Jimenez to Triple-A Salt Lake in a corresponding move.
Rasmus made his major-league debut last season but has yet to appear in a major-league game in 2014. He owns a 2.76 ERA and 13:10 K:BB ratio in 16 1/3 innings with Salt Lake. Jimenez went 0 for 3 in his only appearance with the Angels before being optioned.
