Padres pitcher Casey Kelly played catch at the team's spring-training complex Monday and will appear in a simulated game later this week, MLB.com reports.
Kelly was initially scheduled to throw a simulated game this past Saturday but had the session scratched after experiencing sorness in his surgically-repaired elbow. He'll likely throw about three innings in his simulated game this week.
