White Sox outfielder Casper Wells has been claimed by the Phillies.
The Phillies will be Wells' fifth team this year. He's played for the Mariners during the spring, but saw regular season time with the Blue Jays and Athletics prior to going over to the White Sox. Wells is hitting .155/.211/.169 in 71 at-bats. Phillies general manager Ruben Amaro said he's liked Wells for quite some time. "Casper is someone that we've had our eye on since spring training. He's a versatile outfielder who adds depth to our club and can be a power threat off the bench."
