Darwin Barney off to slow start in July

Cubs second baseman Darwin Barney homered for the first time in 16 games Tuesday against the Angels. His three-run homer off Joe Blanton was his fifth of the season.

Barney has hit safely in just three of eight July games and has no multi-hit outings. Barney is batting .100 (3 for 30) with one home run and four RBI in July.
