For all the talk about how Jeb Bush and Derek Jeter could soon own the Miami Marlins -- and there was more talk Tuesday, in case you missed it -- the truth is we haven't learned much about their vision for the franchise. That might be changing.

According to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald, Bush has confirmed Jackson's report that -- should the group win the bidding -- Jeter will be in charge of the baseball operations department:

What, if anything, this means for the Marlins' current front office is unclear. But it's probably not a great sign for their long-term prospects. Whenever a new owner takes over, they tend to want to install "their guys." This would include Jeter, who despite a wealth of playing experience has no front-office experience. Who knows what (or who) would come next from there.

We'll see though -- remember, before any of this comes to fruition, the Bush-Jeter group has to actually own the Marlins. Right now, it's all talk.
