Mazzaro sent down

The Pirates outrighted relief pitcher Vin Mazzaro to Triple-A Indianapolis Friday, to make room for the signing of Francisco Liriano. Mazzaro has a chance to fight for a role in the Pirates’ bullpen in spring training, after they acquired him in the offseason.
