Making his spring debut, Angels outfielder Mike Trout went 2 for 3 with a grand slam and five total RBI in his team's 15-3 win over the Cubs Friday.
One of the most celebrated hitters in baseball over the last two seasons and a perennial MVP candidate, Trout picked right up where he left off Friday, hitting a fourth-inning grand slam off Cubs pitcher James McDonald. The Angels outfielder's batting average exceeded .320 in each of his first two seasons while he compiled 57 home runs and 84 stolen bases over 1,148 at-bats.
