Tigers shortstop Jhonny Peralta, coming off a season in which nearly every measurable stat took a dive, lost 18 pounds this offseason, according to The Detroit News. "I've never been at this weight since I've been with Detroit," Peralta, who started his career with the Indians, said. "I finished last season at 236. I'm at 218 now." Peralta, 30, also said he's worked on agility drills to enhance his range, although he was candid in admitting he's never had big range or been quick. "But," he said, "I know how to play this game."
