Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez failed a drug test for stimulants in 2006, the New York Times reports.
The 2006 charge was previously undisclosed, and a player isn't suspended for his first positive test for stimulants, as per the Joint Drug Agreement. Rodriguez's arbitration hearing for his suspension appeal is on hold until Nov. 18.
