Royals call up pitchers Chamberlain, Coleman
The Royals announced Monday they have purchased the contracts of pitchers Joba Chamberlain and Louis Coleman, and to make room on the roster, they have designated for assignment pitcher Johan Pino and infielder Dusty Coleman.
Chamberlain was signed by the Royals after being released by the Tigers and Blue Jays this season. He has an 0-2 mark with a 4.09 ERA in 30 games this year.
Coleman has spent parts of the last four seasons with the Royals, although this will be his first time with the parent club in 2015.
