Ryan Cook headed for MRI on injured forearm

Athletics pitcher Ryan Cook will undergo an MRI on his injured forearm, MLB.com reports.

Cook is "really optimistic" that the forearm is minor, adding "I can tell you it's not as bad as you think it is" to reporters after Wednesday's doubleheader. He believes he's just dealing with minor tightness, but the team will run tests to be sure. Cook owns a 2.92 ERA and 15:9 K:BB ratio in 12 1/3 innings.
