Giants pitcher Tim Hudson took a loss Saturday, allowing three earned runs on six hits in six-plus innings and striking out one in his team's 5-0 defeat against the Royals.
Hudson (8-9) served up a solo home run in the fifth inning before opening the seventh by allowing a double and two singles, which caused him to be removed with no outs in the frame. He hasn't surrendered more than three earned runs in any of his last five starts, but Hudson is just 1-3 over that stretch. He owns a 2.81 ERA and 92:24 K:BB ratio in 150 1/3 innings. Hudson is scheduled to face the Phillies next Saturday.
