Pullin has decided to step away from baseball, Jim Salisbury of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

Phillies' Andrew Pullin: Promoted to Triple-A
The Phillies promoted Pullin to Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Thursday, Ryan Lawrence of PhillyVoice.com reports.
Pullin has been deserving of a promotion for some time, but the Phillies didn't have playing time available for him at Triple-A until now. He hit .308/.368/.556 with 14 home runs and two stolen bases in 266 at-bats for Double-A Reading this season. He could get a look in Philadelphia later this year since he has to be added to the 40-man roster this offseason anyway to be protected from the Rule 5 draft.

Phillies' Andrew Pullin: Producing at Double-A
Pullin is hitting .316/.378/.564 with 13 home runs and a stolen base in 250 at-bats for Double-A Reading.
Pullin is overdue for a promotion to Triple-A Lehigh Valley, but the Phillies don't have regular at-bats available for him at that level just yet. A promotion should come once one of Lehigh Valley's outfielders gets a call to the majors. Pullin, 23, was available in the Rule 5 draft this past offseason, but that is unlikely to happen again this winter. He's a prime candidate to earn a 40-man roster spot this coming offseason.

Phillies' Andrew Pullin: Reassigned to minor league camp
Pullin (oblique) was reassigned to minor league camp Sunday, Meghan Montemurro of the Wilmington News Journal reports.

Phillies' Andrew Pullin: Dealing with oblique strain
Pullin missed his sixth straight game Sunday due to a mild oblique strain, Jim Salisbury of CSN Philadelphia reports.
Oblique strains are tricky issues. It can take anywhere from a couple of weeks to a month before a player can return to action. If this strain ends up being the month-long kind, it likely eliminates any chance Pullin had of earning a bench job this spring.

Phillies' Andrew Pullin: Elbow feels fine
Pullin said the elbow injury that cost him a shot at playing in the Arizona Fall League is now healed, Jim Salisbury of CSN Philadelphia reports. "My elbow is fine now," Pullin said. "I've been throwing and it's feeling good."
Pullin injured the elbow making an awkward throw during the final week of last season at Double-A Reading. He has been invited to participate in spring training, but he's a long shot to earn a job with the Phillies. Pullin will open the season either back at Double-A or with Triple-A Lehigh Valley.
