Rockies' Case Williams: Held back by triceps injury
Williams is currently slowed by a stress reaction in his right triceps, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
Williams suffered the injury last month and will need some down time before ramping things back up. The 22-year-old had been on the Rockies' list of non-roster invitees, but it sounds like the injury put the kibosh on that. Williams posted a 7.08 ERA over 23 starts at Double-A Hartford in 2023.

Rockies' Case Williams: Headed back to Rockies
Williams and right-hander Noah Davis were traded from the Reds to the Rockies on Wednesday in exchange for right-hander Mychal Givens, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
Williams was dealt from Colorado to Cincinnati in November 2020 in exchange for Robert Stephenson and Jameson Hannah, but he'll now return to his former team. The right-hander got his first taste of minor-league action to begin the 2021 campaign and posted a 5.55 ERA and 1.66 WHIP in 47 innings across 12 appearances (11 starts) at Low-A Daytona.
