Blue Jays' Joey Murray: Pitching at Single-A level
Double-A New Hampshire reinstated Murray (elbow) from its 60-day injured list July 14 and assigned him to Single-A Dunedin.
Murray hadn't pitched for New Hampshire all season while he finished up his recovery from the Tommy John surgery he underwent in May 2022. He began a rehab assignment in the rookie-level Florida Complex League on June 10 before moving up to Dunedin two weeks later, and he looks like he'll stick around in the Florida State League for the foreseeable future while he ramps back up from elbow surgery. Through his first eight appearances with Dunedin, Murray has struck out nine batters while allowing four earned runs on seven hits and 10 walks across 10 innings.

Blue Jays' Joey Murray: On mend from Tommy John
Murray underwent Tommy John surgery on his right elbow in May, Scott Mitchell of TSN.ca reports.
The 26-year-old Murray was once seen as a promising pitching prospect in the Toronto organization, but his outlook has dimmed in light of him struggling to stay on the field over the past three seasons. He's logged just 21.1 total innings in affiliated ball since the 2022 campaign and is now on track to miss at least the first half of the 2023 season while recovering from surgery.

Blue Jays' Joey Murray: Nabs spot in 60-man pool
The Blue Jays included Murray as part of their 60-man roster pool that was announced Sunday, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.
Murray earned a spot on the Blue Jays' "taxi squad" after shining across three levels in 2019, as he compiled a 2.75 ERA and a 169:49 K:BB over 137.1 innings between stints with Low-A Lansing, High-A Dunedin and Double-A New Hampshire. Barring a deluge of injuries to the Blue Jays' rotation members and depth starters, the 23-year-old isn't expected to see any action with the big club in 2020.
