Spurs power forward Tim Duncan had to leave Wednesday's season opener against Memphis due to a chest contusion, the team reports. The team did not give an immediate timeline for his injury.
The 37-year-old was injured during a collision with Tony Allen on his drive to the rim in the third quarter. Duncan played just 17 minutes in the game and scored three points on 1 of 6 shooting. He grabbed six rebounds and added two assists.
Entering his 17th NBA season, Duncan will be questionable to play on Friday in Los Angeles.
