Ryan Richards: Waived by San Antonio
Richards was waived by the Spurs on Thursday, Tom Orsborn of the San Antonio Express-News reports.
After joining the Spurs on a non-guaranteed contract for training camp, Richards never had a realistic chance of making the team's final 15-man roster. With 19 players now on hand for camp, the Spurs will have four more cuts to make before the season begins.

Spurs' Ryan Richards: Signs training camp deal with Spurs
Richards agreed to a training camp deal with the Spurs on Monday, international basketball writer David Pick reports.
Richards is a Spurs draft and stash pick from 2010. After playing in different foreign leagues over the past six seasons, he will have the opportunity to make San Antonio's roster in the next month or so. Richards' most likely destination this season is the D-League, where he will have time to develop while remaining under the Spurs in Austin.
