Cisse has recorded three straight games with at least two blocks and logged a block in all but two appearances this season. Despite being on a two-way contract, Cisse has made the most of his opportunity with the Mavericks. He will likely continue to back up Daniel Gafford until one of Anthony Davis (calf) or Dereck Lively (knee) come back from injury.

Cisse made just his second appearance of the season after signing a two-way deal with the Mavericks, and notched his first points. He also displayed his defensive capabilities, recording a steal and a block in only 14 minutes. With Anthony Davis (calf) and Dereck Lively (knee) out for the time being, Cisse may continue to see minutes backing up Daniel Gafford until one of the aforementioned big men return.

Cisse and the Mavericks agreed to a two-way contract Saturday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.
Cisse was previously on an Exhibit 10 contract with the Mavericks, but the franchise has decided to keep him around. Cisse figures to play a key role for the Texas Legends in the G League to open the season.
