  • Suns' Oso Ighodaro: Sliding back to bench

Ighodaro won't start Monday against the Lakers, Daniel Starkand of LakersNation.com reports. With Mark Williams (calf) returning to the hardwood, Ighodaro will slide back to the second unit. In his previous five games off the bench, the second-year center averaged 4.0 points, 3.6 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.4 steals in 17.6 minutes per contest.

  • Suns' Oso Ighodaro: Logs season-high 32 minutes

Ighodaro posted eight points (4-4 FG, 0-3 FT), eight rebounds, three assists and two steals in 32 minutes during Saturday's 130-112 loss to the Nuggets. Ighodaro moved into the starting lineup, replacing Mark Williams, who was sidelined due to a minor calf complaint. Although he was able to sniff what would have been his first double-double of the season, Ighodaro's overall production was serviceable, at best. There is no indication Williams will be forced to miss any length of time here, meaning Ighodaro could shift back to the bench as soon as Monday when the Suns face the Lakers.

  • Suns' Oso Ighodaro: Muted in loss

Ighodaro ended Monday's 114-92 loss to the Rockets with two points (1-5 FG, 0-1 3Pt), two rebounds, three assists and one steal across 20 minutes. Ighodaro was slated to see a bigger role with Mark Williams (rest) being held out for the second leg of Phoenix's back-to-back. However, Ighodaro did not do much in his 20 minutes. His role is very inconsistent, and the volatile nature of his production should be enough to scare fantasy managers away from rostering him.

  • Suns' Oso Ighodaro: Impresses off bench

Ighodaro totaled 17 points (7-9 FG, 3-5 FT), seven rebounds, three steals and three blocks in 26 minutes during Thursday's 133-98 win over the Pacers. Ighodaro shouldered a heavy workload Thursday with the Suns electing to hold Mark Williams (leg) out of the second leg of a back-to-back, and partly due to the score getting out of hand early in the second half. Ighodaro made the most of his chances, rarely missing from the field. He set season highs in minutes, points, rebounds, steals and blocks during the blowout victory.

  • Suns' Oso Ighodaro: Blocks two shots Tuesday

Ighodaro accumulated two points (1-4 FG), five rebounds, one assist and two blocks in 20 minutes during Tuesday's 118-107 loss to the Warriors. Ighodaro has come off the bench for his past four appearances while Mark Williams takes over the starting center spot. That said, Ighodaro's workload hasn't been affected much, and he's averaging 4.8 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 17.8 minutes across the season.

  • Suns' Oso Ighodaro: Available for Wednesday

Ighodaro (rest) is available for Wednesday's season finale against the Kings, Kellan Olson of ArizonaSports.com reports. Ighodaro joined most of the team's key players on the sidelines for the preseason finale, but he's cleared to return to the floor. With Phoenix's frontcourt fully healthy to start the new year, the 2024 second-rounder could be outside the rotation.

  • Suns' Oso Ighodaro: Grabs nine boards in preseason win

Ighodaro logged five points (2-4 FG, 1-6 FT), nine rebounds, two assists and one steal over 26 minutes in Friday's 103-81 preseason win over the Lakers. Ighodaro led both teams in rebounding Friday, though he wasn't able to convert on his free-throw opportunities. The 2024 second-rounder saw an uptick in playing time towards the tail end of his rookie season. He averaged 6.6 points on 64.6 percent shooting, 5.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 0.8 blocks over 25.6 minutes per game over the final 17 games (four starts) of the 2024-25 campaign. Ighodaro could see meaningful minutes as the first big man off the bench for the upcoming season.

  • Suns' Oso Ighodaro: Fills up stat sheet in loss

Ighodaro finished with 18 points (8-12 FG, 2-3 FT), nine rebounds, three assists, three steals and two blocks across 29 minutes during Sunday's 98-80 Summer League loss to the Hawks. Ighodaro continues to play well during the Summer League in Las Vegas, as he came one rebound short of recording a second straight double-double. His motivation level is undoubtedly high, considering he's trying to prove he deserves a roster spot in a crowded frontcourt in Phoenix or on another squad in the NBA.

  • Suns' Oso Ighodaro: Crashes glass in win

Ighodaro racked up 11 points (4-5 FG, 3-4 FT), 14 rebounds, two assists and three steals during Friday's Summer League 103-84 win against the Wizards. Ighodaro was a monster on the glass Friday, as he grabbed a game-high 14 boards. The Marquette product has gotten off to a good start in Summer League. He'll try to prove his worth now that Phoenix has a crowded frontcourt headlined by Mark Williams, Nick Richards (elbow) and rookie Khaman Maluach at the center position.

  • Suns' Oso Ighodaro: Back in first unit

Ighodaro is part of the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against Oklahoma City. Ighodaro will fill in for Nick Richards (elbow) on Wednesday, marking the rookie center's fifth career start. In his other four appearances with the starters, Ighodaro averaged 9.3 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.0 steals across 34.0 minutes.

  • Suns' Oso Ighodaro: Won't start Sunday

Ighodaro won't start in Sunday's game against the Knicks. Ighodaro got the starting nod during Friday's loss to Boston, recording 12 points (6-8 FG, 0-1 FT), seven rebounds and an assist across 32 minutes. However, Nick Richards will return to the starting five after coming off the bench Friday, pushing Ighodaro to the second unit. Over his last five outings with the second unit, the rookie big man has averaged 5.4 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.0 assists across 20.6 minutes per game.

  • Suns' Oso Ighodaro: Returning to bench

Ighodaro isn't starting Monday's game against the Bucks. Ighodaro drew a spot start Friday against the Cavs and filled in well, grabbing 13 rebounds in 44 minutes, but he'll return to the bench Monday with Nick Richards back in action. Ighodaro is averaging 7.2 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.2 blocks in his last five games as a reserve.

  • Suns' Oso Ighodaro: Steps up with four blocks

Ighodaro accumulated eight points (4-4 FG), six rebounds and four blocks across 28 minutes during Wednesday's 111-104 loss to the Rockets. Nick Richards missed this game with an ankle injury, and Mason Plumlee was ejected after 13 minutes of floor time after getting into a scrap with Steven Adams. If Plumlee is issued a suspension and/or Richards misses additional time, Ighodaro would offer plenty of appeal as a streaming option. In two starts this season, Ighodaro posted 9.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2.0 steals in 30.0 minutes.

  • Suns' Oso Ighodaro: Goes unused Friday

Ighodaro (coach's decision) didn't play Friday in the Suns' 149-141 overtime loss to the Nuggets. Ighodoro was back with the Suns after a brief stint in the G League, but he remained outside of the rotation. During his appearance for the G League's Valley Suns in Thursday's 114-106 win over the Capital City Go-Go, he played 12 minutes and totaled 10 points, six rebounds, four assists and one block.

  • Suns' Oso Ighodaro: Returns to parent club

Ighodaro recorded no statistics while playing the final 20 seconds of Wednesday's 121-113 loss to the Timberwolves. After making his G League debut Tuesday in the Valley Suns' win over the Salt Lake City Stars, Ighodaro rejoined the parent club ahead of Wednesday's contest. The rookie second-round pick remained out of head coach Mike Budenholzer's rotation, as fellow centers Nick Richards and Mason Plumlee both played ahead of him.

  • Suns' Oso Ighodaro: Increased role in victory

Ighodaro amassed four points (2-4 FG), five rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal across 25 minutes during Thursday's 123-115 victory over the Hawks. The rookie saw significant playing time due to Jusuf Nurkic falling out of the rotation in Thursday's win. Ighodaro has received fairly inconsistent playing time through the early part of the season, though he could be in for an increased role if Nurkic is traded, or remains limited in the rotation. Over his last five outings, Ighodaro has averaged 3.2 points and 4.2 rebounds in 17.8 minutes per contest.

  • Suns' Oso Ighodaro: Cleared to play Monday

Ighodaro (illness) is not listed on the injury report for Monday's game against the 76ers. Ighodaro was sidelined for Saturday's loss to the Pacers due to an illness but will suit up Monday. Across 12 December appearances (one start), Ighodaro averaged 3.0 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 15.4 minutes per game.

  • Suns' Oso Ighodaro: Out against Indiana

Ighodaro (illness) will not play Saturday against the Pacers. The Suns will be very thin in the frontcourt with Jusuf Nurkic serving the final game of his suspension. Mason Plumlee will be asked to hold down the fort at center, while guys like Ryan Dunn and Bol Bol could potentially see some extra run.

  • Suns' Oso Ighodaro: Questionable with illness

Ighodaro (illness) has been listed as questionable for Saturday's game against the Pacers. With Jusuf Nurkic serving a suspension and Royce O'Neale ruled out, the Suns might be without some big bodies in the paint against the Pacers on Saturday. Ighodaro could join them, which will likely pave the way for more minutes for Ryan Dunn and possibly Bol Bol.

  • Suns' Oso Ighodaro: Plays 17 minutes in loss

Ighodaro registered two points (1-4 FG), two rebounds, one assist and two blocks in 17 minutes during Tuesday's 117-112 loss to Memphis. Ighodaro saw a few extra minutes once again due to the fact Jusuf Nurkic is dealing with a muti-game suspension. Despite playing a somewhat consistent role, Ighodaro has been unable to move the needle. He has scored double-digit points only twice and is averaging 3.8 points and 3.7 rebounds in 15.9 minutes per game.
