The former Clemson standout will have a tough time making the Rockets' final 15-man roster after training camp concludes. A more realistic outcome is that he lands a deal with team's G League affiliate, the Rio Grande Valley Vipers.
Blossomgame hasn't been available for any of the Cavaliers' games in the Salt Lake City or Las Vegas Summer Leagues due to a stress fracture in his leg, Chris Fedor of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. The forward is expected to make a full recovery in around three weeks.
Blossomgame is apparently still with the Cavaliers in Las Vegas, even though the organization opted not to extend him a qualifying offer in advance of the summer slate. The injury thus comes at an unfortunate time, as he'll miss out on an opportunity to showcase his talents to prospective teams that may have been interesting in signing him this offseason. Blossomgame should be back to full strength well in advance of NBA training camps, but it may be too late for him to make a serious run at a roster spot by that point.
The Cavaliers aren't planning to extend Blossomgame a qualifying offer for 2019-20, meaning he'll become an unrestricted free agent July 1, Chris Manning of Cleveland Magazine reports.

Bloosomgame will come off the bench in Wednesday's game against the Heat, Spencer Davies of Basketball Insiders reports.
Blossomgame was a regular in the Cavaliers' rotation for almost all of December, and after starting the last four games, he'll come off the bench upon the return of Rodney Hood (Achilles). The rookie continues to see his minutes increase, and Blossomgame responded with his best NBA performance yet. The rebuilding Cavs have nothing to lose by seeing what the 25-year-old can give them as a regular part of their frontcourt rotation, but Monday's numbers could end up representing his ceiling, and not his standard output.
